The online Doctorate of Education program is a comprehensive program designed for educators seeking to advance their careers as leaders or pivot to work outside the classroom. This program emphasizes the integration of theory and practice, with a focus on developing the knowledge, skills, and expertise needed to lead in the education sector, design and conduct research, and drive innovation in teaching and learning.

Throughout the program, you will engage in advanced coursework, independent research, and practical experiences, under the guidance of experienced faculty and researchers. The curriculum is designed to develop expertise in areas such as curriculum design, educational research methods, emerging technologies in education, leadership, policy analysis, and program evaluation. The program culminates in applied doctoral research, where you will apply your knowledge and skills in an original research project, and defend your findings before a committee of experts in the field.

Abide by these admissions criteria

Complete and submit the Ed.D. application
Provide evidence of a master’s degree from a accredited or equivalent post-secondary institution with a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale for regular admissions status. Request that official transcripts for all graduate academic credits received from any post-secondary institutions be sent directly to Edgewood College.
